Evaluating Our Impact at Hang Sung Kindergarten

This month, the VFE team returned to Hang Sung Kindergarten (Tua Chua District) to evaluate the impact of a project we completed in 2019. Our efforts back then involved:

- One new classroom

- One new kitchen and eating area

- One new toilet

- Renovating an existing classroom. 

This visit was an opportunity to assess how these facilities have been used and maintained over the years and how they are continuing to support the school community.

We are pleased to report that all the facilities are being used for their intended purposes and are in good condition. Any minor maintenance issues, such as light fixture repairs, have been addressed by the school.

One of the most rewarding aspects of our visit was seeing how well the school has maintained the structures. The rooms are not only clean and organized but also beautifully decorated by the teachers, creating an inviting and inspiring learning environment for the children.

 

In addition to the facilities we built, we were delighted to see the efforts made by the teachers and local community to improve the school grounds further. They have created a flower garden and a vegetable garden, which brighten the school and enhance its atmosphere. These gardens not only add beauty but also serve as practical, educational tools for the students, teaching them about nature and sustainability. The greenery has made the school a more vibrant and welcoming place for both students and teachers.

This visit was a heartwarming reminder of the lasting impact of community-driven projects. The continued use and care of the facilities, along with the additional improvements made by the school, reflect the success of the partnership between VFE and the local community. We are proud to see how our contributions have empowered the school to thrive and how the teachers and community have taken ownership of the project to make it even more valuable for the children.

We will continue to monitor and support the schools we work with, ensuring that the impact of our projects remains strong for years to come.
