New update on VFE’s project in Hang Sung 2 school site

In early June, VFE decided to finance the construction in Hang Sung 2 school site. The project includes:

• 1 new classroom (36m2)
• A toilet
• A kitchen and an eating area.
• A concrete playground (171 m2)
• Refurbishing the two old classrooms.

The construction in Hang Sung 2 was started on 5th June by an experienced local contractor. There are 10 workers currently working at the construction site. At present, the toilet is being built and two old classrooms are being refurbished.

VFE works closely with the Education Training Department and the contractor to update them about the construction. We also often contact the principal of the school site to check on the progress of the construction. On 10th July, we are planning to visit the school site with our partner – Taiwan Fund for Children and Family (TFCF).

The construction in Hang Sung 2 is being delivered on time. The new construction is expected to finish on 20th August.
