Background Information

Muong Bang Primary School in Tua Chua Commune, Dien Bien Province is a school in a remote, extremely disadvantaged area, 100% of the students are children of ethnic minorities. Most of the students have to stay in semi-boarding or boarding houses because their houses are far from school, and the road to get there is difficult, especially in the rainy season.

In this school year, there are 613 students, which includes 474 boarding students from 6 to 11 years old at this school. Currently, the school's facilities are not enough to meet the basic living needs of students, such as boarding rooms, toilets and showering rooms.

Difficulties

Facility difficulties at the school:

Boarding house: 01 temporary space with 194 students living there and 01 area borrowed from the village cultural house with 117 students living under the floor.
Toilets and showering rooms: 10 temporary toilets and 02 temporary showering rooms.

VFE Project at Muong Bang Primary School

Muong Bang Primary School was designated as a priority for improvement by VFE following extensive field evaluations. Through the following things, this initiative seeks to improve the school's facilities and learning environment:

All boarding-related amenities, such as the kitchen, showers, lavatories, and boarding house, are to be concentrated in one area according to the suggested architectural concept.
